Molluscum

Molluscum contagiosum is a contagious viral infection that is extremely common in children, but also appears in adults. It is similar to warts because both are caused by a virus. However, molluscum is caused by a different strain of virus (the pox family). Molluscum typically causes small, pink bumps that can range in number from one to hundreds of lesions.

There are various treatment options available for molluscum, including observation. Molluscum tends to disappear without treatment over a period of time.
